Been away for a while..

Haven't posted for ages, so firstly here's the song that I always seem to keep replaying on my YouTube favourites,  Kito Featuring Reija Lee - Sweet Talk.

During the past few weeks I've been away on holiday with my girlfriend to Amsterdam, had a great time, explored all of the museums and tourist places, went in some of the famous coffeeshops, walked down the red light district. Pretty much everything that we wanted to do.

Hopefully will keep my blog more upto date now I'm back in work tomorrow. Sucks, but oh well. Summer soon enough.

Pretty ironic

Well first off I've just finished painting my other brake calliper on my car, it's dried and the wheels back on the car! Sorted.

Now the ironic part, is the song I'm going to post today.

I seriously dislike dubstep remixes of songs that don't work at all, like rock songs and that. Me and my girlfriend are always taking the mick out of one of our friends saying he loves them.

Well anyway, the Foo Fighters have just released their new album which has been due out for a while now, titled 'Wasting Light'

Already, Deadmau5 has done a remix of their current single 'Rope'

I don't really know what to make of it myself, it's got an all right beat to it but don't think the singing fits in still.

Painted my brake calliper today - Pretty big images!

And yes, I meant calliper not callipers, as I've only had the time and weather to do the one! Hoping for a nice dry day tomorrow to paint the other one!

Only a quick post today sorry.

Well with it being Sunday, there's the top 40 albums chart on BBC Radio 1, and this week Katy B released her first album 'On A Mission' and it has come in at 2nd on the album chart in the first week, just behind Adele.

Been a busy weekend really so just a quick one here, its the Skream (one third of Magnetic Man) remix of an earlier single of hers, Lights On.

First time posting by email - from my blackberry

Well yesterday I hopefully set up email blogging, where I send an email to a specific address and it posts for me onto my blog! My idea being that later when I get home I can simply edit the layout and style of the text etc, add a video that I'm talking about and have a post sorted!
Would make things a lot quicker considering the amount of time I have free on the bus to and from work.
Hopefully ill find out how to link youtube videos through this method and ill have my whole post sorted from mobile sooner or later.

Todayssssss videoo will beeee, the Trolley Snatcha remix of Distinction - Fly Eyes, considering he will be at Hype! Birmingham tomorrow, alongside  skism, 16bit, doctor p and moarrrrrr. Should be a good night.

Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device

And here it is!

Heres the flyer for the event!

Keeping myself busy

Today I've been keeping myself busy messing around with my car, as it has been a nice sunny day I thought I might aswell get out there and do something.

A few months ago I removed the 'Corsa' and '1.4' badges with hot water and a lot of scrubbing, but I couldn't seem to get the big Vauxhall badge off the middle.

Today I got out the hairdryer and proceeded to melt the glue on the back of the badge, and with some fishing wire I kind of sliced through the glue, and ended up with a Vauxhall logo in glue form.

After another session of rubbing all of the glue off, I had a nice smooth back of my car, BUT... I had a big windscreen wiper telling me to take it off...soooooo

I got some tools and took off the panel in the back of my boot to reveal the windscreen wiper motor. I disconnected it from the electrics of the car, and removed the bolt on the rear of the car that held the wiper arm onto the motor.
After oiling it a little and pulling ALOT, thinking I was going to smash my window or something, I eventually pulled the wiper off.

I unscrewed the bolts inside where the motor was attached to the car, and removed the motor, leaving a big hole in my window.

I used a rubber gromit to seal the hole, and screwed my boot panel back in, and it was finished! Probably the most scary thing I've done to my brand new car, but looks like it worked!

Top is during taking the badges off, bottom is finished result.

Sub Focus - Timewarp

Today's blog post is about Sub Focus, Timewarp. The past few times I've had the chance at seeing Sub Focus play live I either haven't gone, or haven't enjoyed the experience as much as I should have as his shows are packed full of people who don't actually like drum and bass, and have just heard him on the radio, and don't really understand what goes into a show like his.
In reality, his sets nowadays are all done live, so no cdj's just playing his tracks, he constructs each song there and then using samples and clips and pieces them all together just as he would have done when first creating the tune.

Timewarp is one of my favoruite Sub Focus tracks, released in 2008 on RAM records, Andy C's label. It got to number 92 in the UK chart and number 7 in the UK dance chart.
